Artist communicate through their work.
The totem spoon we made in art class was a perfect chance for us to communicate through our artwork. The point of the spoon was to attach things we like to it, which instantly tells others some small things we enjoy. Other than what's on the spoon itself, by looking at how it came out also tells others about their process. When I look at my spoon, I think it tells others how I'm just getting back into creating clay sculptors after a long summer.

I was struggling with attaching and making a snake for my spoon. So I asked my friend Paul who sits next to me to help me out with it. He gave me some tips on how to attach the snake to the spoon and he even helped me make the snake look better. It was originally going to have a oval shaped head, which now that I think of it, would have looked awful.
